Stop AAPI Hate

Stop AAPI Hate (Stop Asian American and Pacific Islanders Hate) is a nonprofit organization that runs the Stop AAPI Hate Reporting Center. This reporting center helps track incidents of hate and discrimination against Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders in the United States. They allow victims to report anti-Asian hate that they experienced and help with mental health.

#Elimin8Hate

Created by Project 1907 and Vancouver Asian Film Festival, Elimin8Hate harnesses the power of arts, film and media to educate, empower, and eliminate racism against Asian Canadians. They do this by raising awareness of anti-Asian hate, empowering Asians to speak out and eliminate anti-Asian hate through social change.

Act2EndRacism

Act2EndRacism is a coalition of concerned citizens and community groups of Asian descent who aim to focus on Canadians affected by COVID-19 triggered related racism. They work on activities and campaigns targeted at anti-racism. Currently, they are working on media releases, information campaigns, a national anti–racism registry, and anti-racism resources/ tools development.

Project 1907

Project 1907 is an organization created and led by Asian women that aims to uplift Asian voices that are often underrepresented in mainstream social, political, and cultural conversations. The 1907 represents an anti-immigration rally which exploded into 3 days of violence and vandalism in Vancouver’s Chinatown.

CCNC-SJ

CCNC-SJ (Chinese Canadian National Council for Social Justice) is an organization that educates, engages and advocates for equity and justice for all in Canada. The original Chinese Canadian National Council (CCNC) was founded in 1980, after successful nation-wide protests against a racist TV show that falsely depicted Chinese Canadian students in our universities as foreigners. This marked the beginning of four decades of community activism to fight for equality and human rights.

Fight Covid Racism

Project 1907 and CCNCTO (Chinese Canadian National Council Toronto) have created a way for Asians to report anti-Asian hate during the pandemic called Fight Covid Racism. This project aims to validate the spectrum of experiences felt across Asian Canadian communities and seeks to use the documentation to inform future efforts for collective action against anti-Asian racism and xenophobia.
